Relocation Summer 2026

We would like to share some important news about the future of Quayside Medical Practice.

On 1st September 2026, the practice will be opening to patients in our brand-new, purpose-built building nearby.  The new premises have been designed to provide a more modern and comfortable environment for patients and staff, and will help us continue delivering high-quality care to our community. You may have seen an announcement from Chapel Street Surgery recently regarding their move who are set to open on 11 May 2026.

Although both practices will be located within close proximity, we would like to reassure patients that Quayside Medical Practice will remain an independent practice and will not be merging with Chapel Street Surgery, which will soon become Newhaven Medical Practice. Each practice will continue to operate separately with its own clinical team and patient list.

The move will allow us to benefit from improved facilities and closer working relationships with other healthcare professionals based within the building. This will help support more joined-up care and improve access to services for our patients. The co-location with Wave Leisure Centre will support an integrated model of care, bringing together primary healthcare and community wellbeing services to encourage healthier lifestyles and improve long-term health outcomes

We have a vast multidisciplinary team who have specialist interests in respiratory, women’s health, menopause, sexual health, men’s health, diabetes, dermatology, palliative care, cardiology, mental health, children’s health and lifestyle medicine.

We will also benefit from a modern minor procedures room where we can offer minor operations and long-acting reversible contraceptive, including contraceptive coils and implants.

We will share further details about the move, including the confirmed moving date and what patients can expect, as soon as these arrangements are finalised.
