We are pleased to remind patients that Quayside Medical Practice will be relocating to our new purpose-built premises, 10 Newhaven Square, Newhaven, BN9 9QS
Important Dates
The practice will close at 6:00pm on Wednesday 26 August 2026 and will reopen in our new building on Tuesday 1 September 2026.
Need Medical Help While We Are Closed?
If you have an urgent medical query during this period, please contact South Downs Health and Care on 01323 402550. They will have a limited number of on the day appointments available.
Outside of normal practice opening hours, please call NHS 111.
If you are seriously unwell or have a life-threatening emergency, please attend A&E or call 999.
Your Local Pharmacy May Be Able to Help
Pharmacists can assess and treat a range of common conditions without the need for a GP appointment:
- Earache: ages 1 to 17 years
- Sore throat: ages 5 years and over
- Sinusitis: ages 12 years and over
- Impetigo and infected insect bites: ages 1 year and over
- Shingles: ages 18 years and over
- Urinary tract infections (UTIs): women aged 16 to 64 years

Ordering Repeat Prescriptions
If you take regular medication and are due to order prescriptions between 24 August and 4 September 2026, please order them early during the week commencing 17 August 2026 to avoid any disruption.
